This table represents different intensity levels of the 4 mental states included in the check-in. Mental State has to do with our thoughts, which are different from our emotions. Our unattended mind is constantly interpreting the world around us. The Mental State check-in is meant to help you become more aware of the thoughts you’re having and how these thoughts might be affecting you.

We offer these as suggestions, so feel free to use words that might better fit your own mental states.
